54.
A double wedding on 31 March 1902. The brides were Rosina and Louisa Aldridge
who married Alfred Green and William Grace. It should be fairly obvious
which is which because Alfred’s father George Green who often appears
in this book is the gentleman with side-whiskers standing at the back.
Zephaniah Grace was the father of William and, as he was a photographer
and does not appear in the picture, presumably took it. Others in the
photograph are - Tom Aldridge and Flo Aldridge (top left), Kate Aldridge
(centre), James Thomas, Clara Aldridge and Aubrey Batt, who later married
Kate. Wilfred Aldridge is the young man on the left in the first row and
Daisy Aldridge is the bridesmaid. Alfred Green later kept the Catherine
Wheel.
