20. Upstone’s shop in the 1920s. In the first quarter of the century almost every building along the main road was either a shop, a public house or a farm house. Kathie Lay, Harold Dunsden and Claude Upstone stand outside in their working garb. The house as in 1979 can be seen in number 67 and a much earlier view in number 66.
