To Oxford by Bus

The X32 express service from Didcot to Oxford runs approximately every hour and can take passengers from Didcot Parkway to Castle Street Oxford in under 30 minutes. The route uses the A34. An alternative X2 service goes via Abingdon every half hour and takes about 65 minutes to reach Oxford.

These buses may be particularly attractive to senior citizens with bus passes as after 9:30 it provides them with a free and convenient route to the centre of Oxford. X32 buses leave Didcot Parkway at 06:25 07:20 08:20 09:18 10:10 and then at 10 minutes past the hour until 16:09 17:05 18:05 and 19:05
Unfortunately most of these services leave Didcot just before the Blewbury bus is due to arrive, and so if you use the bus from Blewbury it may be worth catching the half hourly service X2 via Abingdon, or taking a train. Taking an X2 bus does not get you to Oxford earlier than the next X32 but some may prefer sitting in a moving bus rather than waiting for 50 minutes in Didcot.

The X32 return to Didcot also takes under 30 minutes. It leaves from St Aldates stop H5 at 07:05 08:00 08:50 then at 50 minutes past the hour until the last bus at 20:50.
Up to the 15:50 bus this schedule fits well with the Blewbury buses with a wait in Didcot of about 15 minutes. This length of wait means that the journey time from Oxford to Blewbury is about an hour.
