The New Economics Foundation is a London based think tank concerned with the 'triple crunch' of financial crisis, climate change and oil depletion.

Sustainable Energy – without the hot air is a stimulating discussion with a UK focus by Cambridge physicist David MacKay. A book has now received glowing reviews and is available for free downloading.

The Low Carbon Buildings Program provides grants for micro generation technologies in the UK.

The Centre for Alternative Technology (CAT) does research, education, and offers support for renewable and sustainable technologies. It has interesting exhibitions. many of them interactive. Its comprehensive report Zero Carbon Britain 2030, offering an integrated set of proposals backed up by a wealth of data, is free to download.

The National Energy Foundation works for sustainable energy solutions for the UK.

The Sustainable Development Commission is the Government's independent advisory body on sustainable development.

POST - the Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology publish notes and reports on significant issues, including Environment and Energy Publications.

PRASEG is the Associate Parliamentary Renewable and Sustainable Energy Group. A cross party group for UK politicians and senior industry stakeholders that exists to promote sustainable energy issues in Parliament and the wider political community.

The Transition Network is the new name for Transition Towns. It aims to supply a model for responding to the twin challenges of Peak Oil and Climate Change.

United Sustainable Energy Agency is a local not for profit company promoting Green Energy.

The Vale of White Horse District Council has an active Energy Saving team.

The Oxfordshire Community Action Groups work to increase awareness of waste issues and the ways to reduce the amount of resources that are thrown away.

Sustainable Wallingford is a group committed to making Wallingford more environmentally sustainable and reducing its ecological impact.

Thatcham Good Life is intent on meeting our obligations on climate change while enjoying more from life.

The University of Reading Energy Group is a local centre for energy studies.

The Oxfordshire ClimateXChange is a Climate Change project for Oxfordshire. It's about you, your family, your neighbour, your street, your pub, school, business, church all getting 'fantastically imaginative' about climate change. It is based in a department of Oxford University specialising in Climate Studies.
